I have read a few recent threads here and there about children dying..and it sucks..I am so blessed to have healthy children....me sure to take the time each and every day to snuggle the ones you love..and tell them you love them!

A SIMPLE BIRTHDAY CARD WILL MAKE A WISH COME TRUE !!!

As a rule, I don't cry easily....(NOT), but anything to do with children and tragedy will get me going. This evening I saw a news story that did just that. It struck me again how easy it easy it is to help a stranger, if only we'd try.

Shane Bernier is a 7 year old cancer patient at Lancaster hospital and he has a wish. Although he's lost all of his hair, Shane's bright smile and cheery personality have made him a hit with the staff. In spite of all he's experienced & everything he's yet to face, his wish is the kind only a sweet innocent would think of.

For his 8th birthday, Shane would like to break a record; simply to become the person who has received the most birthday cards.That's it. And it humbles me beyond belief.

WE survived grocery shopping!!!!!!! mind you we had to get wya less that what was on my list..but we did it..Its been a crazy busy week and today is home day...Im hoping to get some more pics of T today, and if its nice out..we are gonna go build a snowman too!

The cleaning lady did wonders...There is some stuff that didnt get done like dusting all the rooms etc..but I realize that she has other houses to do in the afternoons, and that it might take her a month or two to get everything all cleaned..then set on a routine....i picked up some PineSol for her to use next week..cuz I was so excited to walk into a house that smelled clean..and it didnt..I didnt leave her any smelly cleaners..I just usually use vinegar and water for most stuff...but anyways. I will get her to wipe down my cupboards and that kind of thin with the pinesol...just so I can have that great smell!

Tomorrow T will be 3 weeks...can you belive it??? I CANT!

Im getting my birthday present..at 9 am tomorrow...A cleaning LADY!!!!!! she is going to come 3 x a month...and I cant wait...floors, bathrooms, dusting and the kitchen...YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!

while she is doing that...Im gonna be off at Gymnastics with all 3 kids..then we are gonna attempt...*ATTEMPT* is the key word...to go GROCERY SHOPPING!...not sure how much Im gonna be able to get...unless I can grab the cool cart that the kids can sit in and drive..other wise J will have to be in the cart, with T on the seat area in his seat...phew..Im tired already...have a good week!

WEll on tuesday..T had a lil "procedure" done to his privates...please dont be judgemental of me for that...but anyways..this morning when I changed his diaper I about freaked...so into the dr office we went..threw off everyone's jammies..didnt comb anyone's hair... now that Im home..we must have looked like a family of crazy people..
Anyways, everything is normal, healing like it should be...They did it differently than they did J's, so I was unsure of what to expect...poor lil man...poor lil doozer..:(..I feel like such a mean mommy... but alas..its done know...

soo..anyways...trip #2....solo..3 kids..went really well..the Hall train seems to work really good...R is so good about helping me, even just by holding J's hand...I know that he wont run...or atleast she will scream if he lets go...

NEXT WEEK...We attempt the MALL!

WEll I survived....I took all 3 kids out today...we just went to R's ballet class...but we all lived...must have looked a bit funny..the Hall train coming thru...me with the infant carrier on one arm, holding J's hand with the other, then he was holding R's hand too. there we were weaving in and out of vehicles in the parking lot!...it went well..im feeling pumped...maybe next week I will try WALMART! LMAO!

T is doing Great!...he is up to 6 lbs 6 oz...( 5 oz over birth weight) and he's not quite 2 weeks!!

Life as a mom of 3!

well its been just over a week..and Im a firm believer that I am totally blessed...so far things are going absolutely wonderful! Tyson sleeps about 4 hours at a time..and then wakes up to play for a bit, then nurses..then goes back to sleep...there are times during that 4 hour sleep ofhis... that I almost forget im a mom of 3! J and Ry are still in awe of him..I cant wait for the thrill of the new baby bro to wear off..any time he is awake, otr when Im nursing..they are all over him..and me...drives me insane...big battle for mommy's attention...
I vetnured into town on friday..alone..with the 3 kids...the poor back seat of my Yukon is full...full of CARSEATS!...not one inch to spare..anywhere...not sure what will happen when T needs to be forward facing...I know that 3 Forward facing seats isnt gonna fit...

here is Tyson's Birth story!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I beat my induction!

as some of you know, I think...I have been going for acupuncture treatments since about 34 weeks...to help prepare my body for birth!..well I was scheduled for induction (medical reasons) on Friday the 5th...8:00AM.. I went in for my final acupuncture treatment thursday night about 7:30...and he figured by how reactive I was...that i would be in labor on my own within 12 hours...which suited me fine...I didnt want to be induced again..so here's a re-cap!

...I went for my final acupuncture appt at 7:30 on thursday night, fiddled on the puter til 10 pm...went to bed..had one noticiable contraction...decided I'd better stay awake to clock for another one...had a 2nd one about 10 minutes later...felt a funny sensation..like a balloon bursting...then I moved my leg...and yup water broke..., I didnt want to rush in, so I made myself go havea shower...kinda watched the clock a bit..the contractions were about 4 minutes apart...but not very strong yet, woke DH up...headed into town, was admitted at 11:30...had some good contractions but nothing too nasty...hit the shower and the birthing ball about 1 am...love the shower MAN....i had to giggle at myself..cuz i was aware enough to laugh and sing..while being bored to death on the ball....so i thought to myself...ah yes...not in transition yet... then I had about 3 really good killer ones...and the frickin water started to piss me off...waited til the next time my nurse came in...got off the ball, had 3 more killer contractions as she tried to get me to the bed...managed to climb on my hands and knees...had to poopp...lmbo Dean thought i really had to poop..but no..it was the head instead...so one contraction i had to breathe thru...b/c no drs were in sight..so a bit of panic...some yelling like.."help...i need hands in here..I have a head! BIg panic...Dean says there were chairs being thrown out of the way, people running everywhere...LOL.. Had to wait for one contraction...felt the ring of FIRE....good thing to wait for ladies...just wait...when you feel it...then you wont tear near as much...really try to focus when they tell you to wait.I didnt with my 1st...and got a 3rd degree tear...waited this time..not one single tear...nada...one push for his head, one for his shoulders...thats it... it was sooo COOL!!!!!!!!

so total labor....from my waterbreaking and no contractions to finished....4 hours..

we left home at 11 pm on thursday night..and we were home about 8 pm on friday..not even 24 hours! way cool!...feeling sweet..just a tad tired...such a change...I have all 3 types of birth...recovered from a c section...( totally sucked)...but my butt didnt hurt...recovered from an induced vbac....( way better than the section recovery, but had 3rd degree tear, retained placenta..and nasty hemis)...and all natural....( no tears, no stitches, no hemis)....NATURAL BABY!!!!!!!! today Tyson is 2 days old..and I got a good sleep last night..and Im about feeling normal again...so loving that I can see my crotch..and bend over..and SLEEP ON MY TUMMY!!!!!

Rylee is in love.... and Jackson wants to poke his eyes..LMAO!...

Thirteen Things That I need to do to get Marketing myself better

1. I just got some nice photo business cards printed off..they came from the lab yesterday, so I need to get them cut and start handing them out. I want to aim at giving out like 3 a week...but man, promoting yourself is a hard thing to do..
2. I have my brochures all ready to get to the printers...just haven't had time to stop in there without both kids going insane...Im hoping maybe tomorrow?
3. I need to grab some 'balls' (sorry) and just start telling people about my photography, and that Im good...(again self promotion is a hard thing to do) but I cant just sit on my hiney and wait...KWIM..I need to get the people in my community seeing my stuff..)
4. I have signed up with a really cool email newsletter thing...I only have 5 clients so far, so its not really worth the time I think...I maybe wrong..These 5 clients, could always spread the word....ok..I need to get working on this...newsletter once a month, with upcoming specials, maybe a few examples of latest shoots...need more ideas...
5. Make sure to keep my photo blog up to date..this one is only for my photography...new updates of ideas, sales, and teasers for my clients, before I get all their pictures proofed.
6. Keep brainstorming on the mini session idea...need to head into micheals for some prop stuff...
7. I would love to work up the nerve to ask my OB if I could leave a few business cards and a small sample collection of some of my newborn and Maternity photos...but I just cant seem to get the words out of my mouth...or how to bring it up even...( once again..that self promotion)
8. while Im at micheals...I need to check out the xyron machines...I can get them pretty cheap off of ebay...they will work awesome for logo stickers.
9. Stop in at staples and pick up some COOL folder things for my information packages and other things..
10. Contact the 3 clients and get dates set for the fall shoots...ohh I so cant wait for the leaves to change colors....YUMMY!!!!!
11. get working on my photo for my new snaptote...Cant wait to get this on order...I think its gonna be soo cool!..
12 Make storyboards for my last two shoots...I think these will be great little sellers...cuz they are fun!
13...learn how to self promote...and feel proud of it....

been so dang busy with putting the finishing touches on my site, that I have been slacking on the scrappin' end of things..

as of this AM I was behind 8 kits...now Im only behind 6!...

This is my first Duncan Doughnut LO...the kit is called Lavendar Thistle...and its SOOOO classy... totally has a much more elegant feel to it!...I LOVE IT!, can't wait to get my hands (and some more time) on a few more kits of Paula's

This is Amanda Rockwell's Lucky kit..its an older one that has been sitting in my TO DO folder for a bit...when I saw this photo...it just called for this kit..It was also done for a sketch challenge at TDC..thanx to Rachael for a great sketch!

ok got some great news...First off, im pumped about this weekend..I get to shoot the COOLEST family in the world...4 kids, and 2 parents...and they are all beautiful!

2nd...Im On a marketing roll! LMBO!

arent they great??? man they are so me...a fellow photographer buddy let me in on a great new designer...her name is Leah Riordan, she mostly does digi scrapping stuff, but her goal is to get into graphic design...anyways...she has decided to sell her custom designs! here is her new sampler

the best part...is she RAWKS! and is CHEAP AND fast....we spent about 2 hours doing mine..I showed her a few I liked..and gave her the colors...and whammo..90 minutes of giggling with her on hello...bam..its done...I got the psd file as well as a png...so I could tweak colors a bit if I needed to..she will spend whatever time she needs...my buddy took longer than me.. LOL! im so thrilled...It is so totally me!...

Today is a busy day I have my U/S appt at 11, going baby gift shopping for my cousin, and then picking up the kids and going to the park!...YIPPEE!!!!

I got an email from a fellow photographer about shooting with her at a local horse show...kinda sitting on the fence about it...I will let you know what I decide...From being IN horse shows enough I know that its a lot of work, and more proofing..and I'm not sure how much you sell in the end... I have only purchased a few of my photos, and those were only from my big wins...Not from the local horse show...gotta talk with DH and see what he thinks about it.

...I can't wait for more babies....anyone have any? I think..wait I KNOW I'm a baby addict...which makes me feel bad for this poor lil soul in my womb...he/she is gonna get abused by my shutter...

well I heard from Emma's Mommy yesterday, and she is pleased with the photos, she actually found my blog and left me a lil comment..I am going to call her on Monday...I remember how tough life is at first with a toddler and a baby....bigs hugs Momma!

I finished up proofing Austin's shoot last night... Phew..thanx goes to Cat and Kristen..for chatting along with me as I finished them up! I just need to upload the proofs to the album, and I got quite a few more decent ones for my gallery, so thats great. I will start tomorrow posting my favorites of him...and I guess its time to spill the beans.....some of you know already....... but the rest will have to wait until tomorrow! sorry...a bit of a teaser I guess...

OK now Austin, is the best manner lil man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting..He is quiet and content, and only fussy a few time in the hours that we were taking his photos... He was 2 weeks old exactly yesterday!

I haven't had much of a chance to go thru his pics yet..infact I have proofed only about 6 of them, I'm off to Calgary today, so I'm not gonna get much done today either...phooey...

anyways..Here are a few to tide you over..and to make me feel better about not getting to these ASAP...Its really hard...I just wanna stay home all day and proof them all...

The ring shot was fun...but hard to do..this lil guy would not hold his feet still for more than a second...and then the darn rings would have fallen off..or be turned!...it was alot of laughs trying to get that shot!

Thirteen Things about being a Stay At Home MOM
1. You can stay in your Pj's ALL day if you want!
2. You dont have to brush your hair, if you dont feel like it
3. You sometimes can sleep in!
4. But then again sometimes, your up early, and up for the day!
5. You get to experience the Joy of raising your kids full time!
6. Your kids drive you crazy every single day...at least once or twice!
7. You can not have a shower, if you dont feel like it!
8. Your kids are guaranteed to make you laugh, smile and maybe even cry all in one day!
9. Staying home all the time is much more difficult than working.
10. Your house will not always be clean because you are home all the time.
11.Being at home all the time will occasionally get boring, frustrating and stressful - sometimes all at the same time.

Just wondering if you could all send a dear friend of mine some good vibes, Im not going to mention her name, but she is like my second mother..and she just found out that she has a cancerous lump in her breast. She appears so far to be handling it well, but this woman is the helper in EVERYONE'S lives...so I know this is gonna be hard for her in so many ways..most of all she is NOT used to asking for, or needing some help. She is the strongest person I know, and she has been my idol for years, fit as a fiddle, very active in her childrens lives (and mine too for that matter, they joke about me being the other daughter!)She is my complete role model for a mother, and for a mature woman. I am totally devastated...I cant imagine how she must feel..my heart breaks for her..any spare thoughts and prayers, would be greatly appreicated...Thank you!

Not much time for anything else at the moment...packing to head into town for another newborn shoot...baby Evan this time! cant wait...Got lots going on for next week, u/s appt, new hair do! LMAO..and another dr appointment...hoping to get an engagement shoot in this weekend...one of my other good friends...but looks like it might just be us girls...here's a hint, 2 blondes, one horse and a field of sunflowers...how COOL will that be???DANG IT SIERRA...call me! I have like 65 proofs to show them..and to be honest...I knew that a few were gonna turn out the way they did, but I had a bad feeling about alot of them also...I was TRULY AMAZED when I looked at their album last night...I'm feeling pretty proud of myself right now, I hope this doesnt sound corny...This is so far my best work yet...phew...at least I'm going in the right direction!
I have like 25 favorites... so I might just post like 5 or 6 today, then post some more over the next few days.

Shooting a newborn...its hard, its time consuming, but its fun...and Im addicted to it..This took just over 4 hours, from arrival to departure, which was plenty long enough..lil miss Emma didnt really want to sleep much for me, so we kept just waiting..LMAO...

I learned to bring more pillows to stuff inside my trunk...she is tucked too far in there to see very much of her :(. I have a bit more of a shopping list to get before I do an on location shoot again...Dang backdrop stand was supposed to be there Thursday Am , so I could use it for this..but It wasn't, so well heck we made DO...

Thirteen Things I'm nervous about today


1…. I have my first newborn photo shoot at 10 AM
2. I hope the baby girl is happy
3. I hope the baby girl will sleep lots
4. I hope that I can get all the shots I want, while she is sleeping
5. I hope that I can pick up my new backdrop stand BEFORE the shoot!(oppsy)
6. I hope that the dad has big strong arms...I got a few super cool poses just for him and baby!
7. I hope that big sister wants her picture taken too
8. I hope that baby girl doesnt pee or worse on my backdrop or my props..( actually pee I wont mind)
9. I hope that momma and daddy both have black shirts they can wear.
10. I hope my kids keep sleeping for 30 more minutes so I can have a shower!

OK here is a sneak preview of a SUPER fun new kit by Kristin CB..Its called Luscious Tropics...Isn't is just Wonderful!!!!!!!!!! It really made me want to head to Hawaii for a bit to get some pics just to use for it!...Sheesh I WISH! LMAO!.... Hey Leah..If you read this send me some k????

Anyways it will be available August 3rd or 4th at ACOT, so be sure to pick it up!...
She gave it to the CT team last night to have a lil play with it, and here are my two LO's I whipped up...This kit goes perfect with one of my favorite seamless paper backdrops...So Im gonna be using this one a few more times...For sure!

OK here's the results of one day of retail Therapy!

First of all I wanted to say a "HI" to Shannon and to Alyx...some new blog readers!! Its such a fun thing to 'meet' new people! and Yes Alyx..I promise I will work on drinking more water... I used to be really good at it when I was working...but being at home...I tend to just get lazy about it!

OK..here is what I drug home with me...these are all Jax's.. I think he shold be covered for this fall and winter...and even some of next summer too...with the exception of some winter boots! got some gap clothes ( on sale) and then most of the rest is from the children's place.
I got most of the summer clothes for next year from the local superstore...gotta love them sometimes..the green plaid shirt and denim shorts..were 4.94 together...:D

this is Rylee's Haul...one shirt from GYmboree, quite a bunch from the childrens place...then the rest from superstore.. 2 fav outfits in there..the green pants, with yellow shirt, hair bandana and green tulip purse...and then the denim skirt with striped ribbing, the yellow shirt above it, and the pink and green down vest with detachable fake fur collar... When I walked into Gymboree there were these boots calling Ry's name...it took all I had to walk out of the store without them... but 60 bucks for kids boots....I just couldnt do it...maybe if they had been lined..and she could have used them all winter...but unfortunately not here in Alberta! LMAO! and then

here is what I got for me... 4 tanks for old navy and one pair of the comfiest Mat pants EVER..Im not big enough to be in mat pants yet..but I wore these around the house the other night..and Im gonna head back into town today to see if I can pick up a green pair also...I think I may wear these babies forever... I have always wanted some Camo pants...and I love how these fit in the legs and the butt..they SOO dont look or feel like mat pants!

One final thing...one of my mamma's from SK ordered one of these. when her shipment arrived there were 2...so guess who is gonna grab it off of her? yup me! Im so pumped...the first thing I have bought for the new baby... poor thing is gonna have lots of hand me downs from bro and sis...so I figured why not!.

I dont talk about Stefanie much...she is one of the proud new admin at women2women....Now Stefanie...she is a do it all kinda lady...she has a houseful of kids...and she runs a message board...with like 100 women on it daily...PLUS...SHE IS A CLEAN FREAK!!!!

So I happened to by on W2W today..and she pages me ...saying she's doing a 30 minute clean sweep..Am I in?...Im like wth?? you mean like clean my house??... she replies...back with LOL..yes!!!!!! ok so im game... I need to get it cleaned some...MIL is coing tomorrow to watch the kids, while SIL and I head to Calgary to do some retail therapy. NOt that I can do much..I spent just over 325$ on groceries and new clothes for the kids...damn I love late summer...everything is on sale..I think I got ry's next year summer clothes almost all bought...found her some cute lil flip flops..in baby blue..SHE LOVES them! Bought Jax the cutest lil shoes...they are navy leather and they squeak...he frickin loves them!!!! Im gonna try to get soem video of him with them on today...if I get it..I will put it up here...its SOOO FUNNY!!! bought him a pile of clothes too, jammies, and t shirts and shorts for next year!

ok back to the 30 minute clean sweep...so I put the timer on the microwave...and off I go..busy beeing..aorund the house...I am TOTALLY Amazed at what you can get done in 30 minutes...I got ry's room and jax's room tidied and swept up, threw in a load of laundry, loaded and started the dishwasher, cleaned off the kitchen table, vacuumed my one and only rug, swept the entire floor of the whole house...

My and challenge to YOU ALL!...is get off your butt right NOW...go set the timer for 30 minutes..and go clean your house!...its AMAZING...Im gonna really try to do this once a day...I think...that if I do that..my house will stay clean!!! COULD YOU IMAGINE?????????

OK...so anyone who reads this...LEAVE NOW....go clean your house for 30 minutes only...... then come back and tell me what you did!...I guarantee you...you will be amazed...30 minutes...thats it!DOUBLE DOG DARE YA!!!!!!!!!!

OK so that was the hottest holiday I have ever been on..and I was only 35 minutes from home...Central alberta is in a heat wave right now...we have had hot weather for over 2 weeks...im getting so tired of it...ok and for my American pals...hot for us Here in Alberta...is like 30...and we only get a few of those days in the summer....its been over 32 just about every day for 15 days...yesterday was 36...just converted that to 97F...bloody hot for us...It rained some last night, and we woke up to an overcast day...but by 2 pm this afternoon it was back up to 31C again....the big difference is that ususally we cool down here at night..down to like 14ish...and it hasnt been..so its crappy in the house..its not getting a chance to cool off, so its just hot all the time...Im sitting here im my undies and a tank...LOL sorry if TMI...its just too dang hot!

The day before I left on holidays I delivered the proofs to the bride...she was THRILLED with them!...HOW COOL IS THAT??? I ended up printing off just over 200 proofs for them to go thru!..LOL have FUN!..muahahahahahah... still waiting on a signed release from them...I cant wait to show you a few....maybe I will call her tomorrow!. LOL!

As far as the photography goes... Im on a bit of a hiatus... Im not usre if it is because of all the editing and proofing I had to do for the wedding pics...or what. but LOL... I am just enjoying life too much right now to always tote that dang camera bag around and try to take pics...imagine..on holidays camping for 6 days...I took like..50 pics MAX...I never ever thought I would do that...but I was just plain having too much fun...

Here are a few from camping....My kids filthy...they have cheezie, freezie, roasted marshmellow, dirt, sunscreen and some sand on their faces....nothing but fun as I see it! They stayed up til they were exhausted...and then we slept in until like 9am, we spent just about every day at the beach in the warm lake...so we had a blast!! No mosquitoes, and a pile of laughs! and Ry continues to sleep at night in her panties!...HOORAY!!! NO accidents at all while we were camping...which Im glad about cuz I didnt think about bringing a plastic cover for the bunk! tsk tsk...

Here is Ry on the up side of the sugar rush....gotta love that stare she's got going on there! LMBO!

He got to experience a ton of new stuff...what ants taste like...and charcoal...eww...he got some out of the other not used fire pit....and had it in his mouth before I could stop him!..no swallowing though..he spit it right out...sheesh..can't imagine why!

I am slowly getting them back into their 'normal' routine again...but I guess in real life..that routine is always evolving right?

We ran all over town( well actually 2 towns) trying to find Ry some Crocs...Man are these shoes cool!..they are comfy and light...and best of all she will be able to put them on herself...which is the total reason I'm hunting for them! anyways...found one store that has them for kids..but they are all sold out..but they are supposed to be getting more in any day now...so I need to keep on that!

We went to the park after doing some running around today and I actually brought my camera and took some pics...a few really nice ones I think...I will try to get to editing them tonight..and post them for tomorrow...

Dh is doing super..he has already flown his solo flight, and has been doing 30-45 minutes circuits alone!...He hopes to be doing his flight test on the 1st of August..so say a lil prayer for him!!!!!

OK thats my big update for now... stay tuned for more.. LOL!..oh yeah...and my 3rd year old has been a wonderful little girl this past week!...

OH YESSSSSs while camping jax got two more teeth...we are standing at a grand total of 6 now...LOL..he is just about 16 months old...6 teeth! ROFLMAO! oh well! got some good pics of his new teefy smile today...:D! Take care and thanx for stopping by!

Thirteen Things I did with My DD today!

1.Hey...first of all its JULY 13th! LOL
2. we dropped of DS so it could be just a mommy and Ry day....I love them...and we need to have them more often...this is the 2nd "ryDay" so far this summer...shame on me..i wanted to do it twice a month. :(
3. We went to the park, and had a blast...she loves the swings...and LOVES to go high...high enough that I am scared for her!
4. We went for a walk downtown, and grabbed a lunch out...and she could pick whatever she wanted to eat....would you belive she picked a veggie plate? LOL!...and a rice krispie square.
5. We got our fingernails painted...pink of course!
6 We opened a birthday present from Daddy...( he is outta town for a bit)...it was the Belle Barbie...btw!
7. We went to Aspen Beach and played in the lake...its really shallow...so its nice and warm!
8. We dug a huge hole and tried to bury Rylee's legs in it!
9 We found a bloodsucker...ew....so mommy killed it.
10. We picked out the camping spot for next week...its gonna be so much fun! all week! :)
11. We picked some Saskatoon's at Grandpa's house and eat them with ice cream after supper!
12. We snuggled and snuggled before bedtime...and we shared a big apple...for a snack...
13. We read the book " Princess Crystal's Magical Locket" for the hundredth time since last weekend..then She told me Im the BEST MOMMY IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!

HOW COOL is that!!!!!! we had a great day... i cant wait to do it again...The little girl I spent the day with today, is my most favorite in the whole world!

8. I sunburned my poor son yesterday...grabbed some old sunscreen....shoot..I feel like a shmuck.
9. Starting to finally get over the morning sickness...did I say FINALLY!
10. Im excited to show the bride and groom the Slideshow I made for them, with all the proofs...scared too however
11. Gotta get myself pysched up for the next month, gonna be playing single mom for most of the time.
12. I want to take some more pics of my kids...but Im feeling really burnt out after that wedding shoot...yucky..I know why they charge a fortune!

Ok well here they are...Woke up on the Sunday and Dh said to me...I have a surprise for you. Jumped in the motorhome and drove down the road about 5 minutes..and stopped at the heli skiing place. YIPPEE!!!!!
bit of history on this... when we got married DH chartered a helicopter and flew his groomsmen on a 1 hour trip, then got the chopper to land at the church. Let me tell you they sure made a scene! Anyways, since his groomsmen got such special treatment, and I got the bum deal...he promised to take me up another time!...well this was the time!
Well Having lived in the Rockies all my life..I know that they are simply amazing. HOWEVER seeing them from a helicopter adds a whole new realm to things. Its Sad that photos arent 3D..because they do truly not give the justice or re create the AWE that we saw! We gt up to about 10,000 feet, flew over a few glaciers, and there were a few times that all i could see for a full 360 degrees were mountains! It was insanely beautiful! This is a little glacier fed lake that they fly in heli fishers starting in Mid July.

The red in that one mountain is actually rust..for some strange reason its the only mountain around with such high iron content that it is actually rusting!

Thats the Cline River...it is one of the many glacier fed rivers that runs back into Abraham Lake. The water in that river is a whopping 2-4C and is estimated to be only 2-5 hours old. Meaning it melted off the glacier only a few hours ago! brrrrrrrrrr
well thats about it for my pics from Nordegg... I have more ( a pile) but these are the best ones! Hope you enjoyed seeing what Alberta looks like!

Ok todays pics are of the blue grass festival...

mostly band pics.. I will try to remember who they were and where they were from!

Our favorite band by Far was Prairie Flyer...from Washington...they were so good infact I didnt even go down to take any pics! LOL!

The photo was the first band we listened to..they are called Canadian White Water.
These guys were crazy...the younger guy played like 5 different instruments..and was amazing on them all...they had super stage presence too. the best was him on the banjo...simply amazing..there is no other word to describe it...

Photo of DH sitting back relaxing! and enjoying the music..this was after we woke up from a 2 hour nap in the early afternoon...heh heh...havent done that forever! sure felt good!

This is the owner of the resort... I cant tell if those are happy thoughts...or worrysome thoughts! I think honestly it was happy thoughts..they estimated for the BBQ supper on Saturday night that they fed just over 500 people!

The headliner band was from Toronto...they were the Foggy Hog Town Boys...good music...Zero for stage presence...like NADA..so they sucked..LOL! the guy on the right...never smiled once...until he left the stage... YUCK!

ok and here is my attempt at recreating the wedding photo... the first one is a LO is did with the image from the pro photograper... Linda Dubois, from Rocky Mountain House. Now I knew that she did some Photoshop work on the image, but it wasnt until I tred to copy it that I realized how much she did...she must have shrunk down the mountains in the background in order to get the tops and some sky...b/c no matter what angle I tried..they were just to high!... I had us posed over on the other side of that photo..but that dang tree would have been dead center in the picture..and I just didn't like that one bit!

Tomorrow...the Chopper pics...wait..I hope I didnt say I would use them today..sorry!

OK and my blog prompt for today... exercise...LOL what is that...
I used to be very active...well planned excerise...before kids, I was a go the gym 4 days a week kinda girl...then when I had Ry...I bought a treadmill thinking I could still get some exercise done at home..which I did...used it lots...then i got pg with Jackson...sold the treadmill..now the 2 of them keep me busy enough..i cant imagine having the time to do a routine and scheduled exercise...I call mine mommicize! LOL!

Im gonna split them up over a few days...

The first few of Abraham Lake..its 32 miles long..and rises and falls dramatically depending on the time of year. Right now its really low because the glaciers have just started to melt...buy August it will be like 15 feet higher! thats alot of water! There is also a huge DAM on the east end of this Lake..called the Bighorn Dam...gates were all open when we drove by at this time. I should try to go back in the fall when its all full..you would be amazed at how much different it looks!

The weekend was great...we just packed up and headed West, not really knowing where we were going to end up. And I ended up not doing ANY cooking...well I made a few sandwiches for the trip out on Friday night..but that was it...NOTHING ELSE!.

This photo is of the David Thompson Resort. This is a campground/hotel in the middle of nowhere..they have phone, but all the power and heat is all done on site..CRAZY!... Their Logo is upsidedown trees that they have "replanted". you will find lots of this stlye of decoration all over this place.! This is where we had a wedding reception..it was really nice to head back again..but this time WAY less stress.

We got there and we were pleasantly surprised to see a bluegrass festival on for the whole weekend..Im not much of a fan of bluegrass..but it was cool to listen to the music and listen to the stories the music told! Got lots of photos of the bands...save them for another day!

We went for a little hike down from the campground a bit closer to the bottom of Abraham Lake..and it was way harder on the way up..us old geezers had to stop half way up...I faked like I was really interested in this brown eyed susan..and stopped to take some pics...There were people right behind us... and we couldnt let them think we were that out of shape! LOL!...anyays ended up with a decent photo! Got back to the motorhome and we both had a 2 hour nap! LOL!..did I mention that this was my first time away from the kids for more than 12 hours in over 16 months??? way way way too long... I forgot how fun it is to just have me and DH...not that I dont think the kids are fun...its just good to remember what life was like before them too!

OK so I was on a roll yesterday! Im so glad to get my scrappin' Mojo back! and its a good thing too, Cuz I have been a bad CT member.

Got some news on that front too, I thought about life hard and long, and decided to resign from my CT duties at Elemental Scraps. With 5 designers there, I just couldn't keep up. Especially with this nasty morning sickness hanging around. Which is ulitmately a good thing, b/c I am also proud to announce that I have been accepted into Amanda Rockwell's Exclusive Sweet Shoppe Cupcake CT team! HORRAY!!
For those of you who dont know yet, Amanda has joined the Sweet Shoppe Designs team! Im so excited for her I am Positive that her designs will fit in there just perfectly!
Anyone else have a hard time scrappin more than 2 photos...this LO actually amazed me, I started off thinking it HAD TO be a 2 pager...and let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised when I managed to get all 6 photos on one page! I think it turned out really well!

Managed to start going thru some of the photos from the weekend..I was a goof and forgot to bring a copy of the image I wanted to try to emulate...so its really kinda the same, but the angles are totally off..major bummer...We had a great weekend however, we did end up at the location we got married at, and there happened to be a blue grass festival going on...so that was kinda neat..we aren;t major bluegrass fans, but it was still fun to listen to some great music while camping! on Sunday DH surprised me with a quick 30 minute helicopter tour over the Rockies...let me tell you that is the ONLY way to truly appreciate them! WOW... I hope to get some pics up in the next few days...gotta say I LOVE living in Alberta...all that scenery just 2 hours from my house!

Ok so my last studio lighting class was on Tuesday..had to postpone it a night b/c of the hockey game !LOL...

it was awesome!!!!! the instructor basically sat in the corner of his studio and let us have full reign on all his stuff!..he wanted to see what we learned from the week before! IT WAS SO COOL!...he helped us out a few times, but mostly everything was all us. Us meaning me and 3 other girls...one is a pro photographer already, 2 of us are Portfolio building..and I have no clue on the 3rd..I think she just really digs Photography! I'm just waiting on the models to hopefully sign a release form so I can use a few pics for my portfolio and show them to you all!...
I absolutley LOVe maternity shots...it was so much fun!

WE are heading outta town this weekend, to Celebrate our 4th anniversary...today is the day infact!..and best yet, the inlaws are coming to stay with the kids! HOORAY!!!!!!
Taking the motorohome and the rhino (see to the left incase you dont know what a Rhino is...and Im guessing most of you dont!) and heading off to Saunders, which is close to where we got married!

ok still feeling really quite shitty, so i think I got myself a case of some really good m/s. blah....i feel like that almost all day long. Im falling behind on my CT duties bad at ES....i havent scrapped in over 10 days..Im going thru withdrawl I think. I have talked with Kristin, she's ok with me just taking it easy for a bit, so thats really cool!..hey but then Kristin is really cool!

Managed to muster up some energy to head into my first studio lighting class last night. Turned out to be way fewer and more advanced people than he thought, so we all had a great time, we had a model, and we just went thru book, after book, after book, and pointed out some lighting we wanted to copy, so we fiddled around with 2 lights, and 2 softboxes most of the time, so that part is good, glad I got 2 lights, guess I should watch on ebay for another smaller Softbox tho...Wish I could show you some of the lighting we had...super neat got some really great pics...oh yes..and what a TREAT to work with a model who sits stills, looks into the camera, and listens to what you want her to do!!!!!!!! how fun!

Its tuesday today, sun is shining, and so far the family shoot is on!...Not a cloud in the sky, as of now..so partly good, cuz maybe no rain, but it would be nicer to have an overcast day for this... but anything..I just want to get it done!!!kinda pumped after last nights shoots....esp because I get 2 adults, and 2 kids over 6 tonight...they should all be able to understand what I want! Well off to get my cheat sheet all set up, and my list of ideas...gimme some prayers around 6:30pm Alberta time today ok Ladies!...

Tried to update several times yesterday with no luck...

Just a goofy pic of J, we were playing peek at a neighbours house, and of course I HAD to bring my camera...my poor kids...

got a few busy busy weeks ahead of me, my family shoot from yesterday got cancelled because of rain, so we have tuesday and Thursday both booked for next week..ahh the joy's of outside photos! Got a pile of dr's appt next week, hair done, nails done, plus mondays nights now are my studio lighting classes already...YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!! cant wait for those!

Im playing phone tag with the girl from the photo lab, I think things are close, my monitor just needs a wee bit of tweaking and then things are good to go! HOORAY!...so hopefully I can find her today, I need to get that done ASAP.

I havent scrapped a lick for about a week..I have been feeling really ill, im truly hoping I have some sort of flu, and that this is not M/S because I cant handle another month of feeling like this...DH was a good dad last night, I went to bed about 7, he put the kids to bed for me...I slept right thru!

Its supposed to rain all weekend , which is good because we got the rest of the grass seeded last weekend...so this is just perfect for it! and my garden too! and my office too, my goal is to clena this office out...i have stuff stashed everywhere...todays' goal, laundry, and sorting...paper...paper to file, paper that needs to get entered in the computer, paper for garbage...

Phew I think June is gonna be crazy!

Off to get Ry all signed up for Gymnastics today, while we are there were gonna go swimming..Cant wait...She loves the pool.. Then its grocery day..15% off Tuesday today
...yawn.boring..but ya gotta do it. Need to pop in to the accountant and pay off our bill, grab the mail(hoping that my 2 cheap Camera batteries from eBay are there) I paid 4.75 for 2 of them including shipping...Worth the risk...Hope they keep a charge!

Got my 35mm lens in the mail yesterday big thanx to Amanda for shipping it up here for me!Haven't had much of a chance to use it yet, Here is a few from yesterday

Zoo and the passport office on Friday
Farmer's Market, pool, mowed grass, seeded more grass, laid some more sod on Saturday
Sunday we mowed our backyard!!!!!! wohoooo!!!!!!!( for those of you who dont know I have had weeds for 6 years)...LOL! Then we went for a drive in a hunt for some new land to buy..looking for 160 acres...found one that we really like...but it has a pipeline right where we would want to build the house...DH's is gonna do some calling...see what he can find out...

Family shoot #1 got set back to this Thursday...gotta call Family #2...get a date for them, ASAP too, cuz I want to use these as practice a bit for the wedding on july 1st!..ACK!!!!

Been feeling a little low

the past few days, Im truly hoping I just have a case of the stomach flu and no m/s. Blah way too early to start that game already. I cant believe that Dory is just over 1 month old already..wow..time really does fly. I went outside especially for Kiley today to get some new pics of her.SO here ya go Kiley!

She was having a blast outside today, running and bucking, and even chasing the dogs. She isnt halter broke yet ( yeah I know..better get on that), but she is super friendly and really trusting.

Had to tell you a funny story that happened to my friend Michelle ( fellow Camera nut, and someone who I admire a PILE).

Here is what she wrote"
I was at the grocery store this evening (by myself!!! ahhhhhh! ) and was walking down the isle. There was a mom there teaching her small (maybe 3 or 4 y/o) son how to 'drive' the shopping cart and watch out for other people. Just as she says "ok honey, watch out for people going by..." he spins the cart around and smacks right into mine. No problem. I smile at her, she says "OMG I'm soooo sorry!!!!" I say "no biggie- btdt with my kids " and the she says to her son "What do you say to the nice lady?" He looks his mom straight in the eyes and says very loudly "HOLY SHIT, I *HIT* SOMEONE!!!!!"

The mom looked horrified at first, the store grew noticeably quieter, then we both broke out laughing- it was soooo hard not to! I laughed so hard I about peed my pants. Finally the mom asks him something like "where did you hear that before?" and the kid goes "Well, that's what you said to daddy when you hit that guy with our car that one time"

can you imagine...I would have died laughing!!!!

Well time to update some again...
new? Whets new....hmmn..not a heck of a lot...took a few pics of J with the lights again..He really seems to absorb that darn blue seamless paper...must be aware of that.
In this one he wee foot is still a bit blue...I will have to go back and select it and warm that baby up!. He was so funny while I was taking these...Climbing on and off, and on and off...Grunting and moaning the whole time.
I *think* im getting the hang of the lights some, I don't get nearly as many over exposed ones when I first start...I know what Im gonna ask for for Christmas already... A Sektonic light meter...

Gotta do some more work on my Logo...I love love love the watermark, but I have had a few people mention to me that the font in the title, doesn't really jive with the really cursive and decorative logo, so I guess I need to re think that!

Getting all set up with Technicare today, got the software last night, and as soon as Im done here, I have to call to get the color management and my test prints all done! YEAH!!!!!!! im nervous but excited at the same time.

Family shoots... I am hoping to do the first one ( family of 4 ) some time this week..or early next. I need to check in the forecast and peek at the weather...hoping for a nice overcast day...probably wont happen..but hey I can hope right!

totally BAMBOOZLED.. A friend of ours is getting married July 1st. He takes his own photos of his kids and all b/c he is a bit on the stingy side to pay anyone to do it...Guess where this is leading too... LOL...Anyways we stopped over there for supper on Monday night...And they were telling us about wedding plans and such, and DH brought up a photographer..Well his friend pipes up. " Im gonna take them myself" LOL...Ok..Buddy..How on earth are you going to take your own wedding Photos?... Getting warmer now?... So the bride grabs me and begs me to bring my camera to the wedding to play second as the photographer..b/c he wont be able to get the walking down the aisle photos and stuff like that...~BAMBOOZLED~
They are getting married outside, so that's all great b/c I don't have anything but my in camera flash. And the way I see it..They are gonna be happy with any of them, b/c they at least will be photos with the DH in them!..LOL...sheesh..men...What are you thinking sometimes?

yeah, so I gotta go peek around and get some wedding pose shots in my head now too, plus an extra battery, got 3GB of CF' cards...Which should be enough if I only use RAW in the tricky light situations...Heck maybe I will grab one more 2GB card from Costco next time Im in.

Got eliminated in round #3 of THE UDS contest...thats ok by me! LOL I made the top 100, which is pretty cool, beat out another 269 other scrappers to get that title! YOu should head over to diggiscrappin.biz and check out the final 40..this round they narrow it down to only 7! ack..goodluck to my scrappin pals that are still in it, Susan Toon, Angela my dorky pal!, Mandy and Michelle! Got my new kits from ES to do yesterday, and made my list..got 9 kits in total to play with and get soem LO's done..so Im hoping that I can try to do one LO a day here for the next while...get all caught up again!

Trying to play catch up and finish my huge list of "to Scrap" photos...So bear with me!

Ok #1. Simple...Christmas 2005..pics with both the Grandpa's and one of me and Jackson. Dh snapped the big one! Even on Auto I love the rebel XT! LOL

#2 this is a funny one..I was trying to play with perception, and R was tucked right under me when I snapped it...These are (were) our favorite tights...Sadly...They are too small...I am on the hunt for more fun tights...Anyone have any secret tight places??(credits to Kristin CB's Life and Beauty kit, Available at SBE. I love this kit, the colors are AMAZING. Fonts are AL charisma, caligula dodgy, carolinga, carpenter, and feena casual)

#3 I got this great idea from Treva to try my old grapewreaths to make a nest...Looks neat...Kids don't like it much! LOL..This was an attempt for some Easter photos...I like the expression on her face..But that's about it. (credits to Kristin Cb's fresh Linens kit, available at SBE. Font is angleterre book)

last but not least A photo I took ALONG time ago..This was taken way back with my Canon P&S..so Im thinking...like November 2005 ish. Its been sitting in the to scrap folder long enough. I fiddled with some of my custom made curve templates, then actually got bored with it, so I mess with some blending...and then left it alone. Feeling good so far, no m/s, not tired...Not crampy...Liking this so far.

Bad note, well not bad...but crappy. I will be starting the injections again any day now :((.

For those of you who didn't know me with my last pg. I got a blood clot in my leg at 9 weeks, because of that I had to go daily injections of blood thinners to remove that one, and prevent any others from forming. They told me it was a rare pg anomaly, but who knows. So with this one it is mandatory that I go on them again, just as a precaution. MAJOR BUMMER but in the end..a healthy baby is all that is really important. If I can do it once, I can do it a second time. Im actually kinda surprised I havent heard back from my dr yet...I'd better call her again today. My poor belly....its SOOOO not looking forward to the injections.. Last time for the first few months I really bruised quite a bit..hoping that wont happen as much second time around. (not sure how easy bruising is to PS out of photos! lol)
I feel sad for this poor child already...sheesh..momma is planning some maternity shoots , and yippee..some newborns ones too...poor thing...oh well , at least he/she wont be scared of the camera! LOL

Sod guys got jipped 1 pallette worth of sod yesterday so they are coming back today to finish the rest up...it Looks SOO NICE...I will take a photo when its all done!

Finally sent my application in to Technicare Im pretty excited about that...So hopefully I will be all set up for Professional Printing in the next few days! Gonna call family #1 and see if we can set up some time next week to do their photos...YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Family #2 I think I want to wait until about the 1-2nd week in June..Just to make sure their location (the one with the bridge) is really nice and green.

Bad habits....

well Let me start off by saying, being a SAHM its REALLY easy to slip into some bad bad habits.
First off...take today...its 10:30 AM and I am still in my pj's, I havent even combed my hair yet, Im embarassed to say that a few days a month I dont EVER get out of my pj's.( hanging my head in shame). Lets see, oh yes...I often forget to eat a real meal, I find myself nibbling up what the kids didnt..tsk tsk..bad nutrition...

Oh wait...My DH's has a bad habit..he sleeps on the far side of the bed, its near the wall. So since I never ever go over to that side of the bed, it NEVER EVER gets cleaned. He leaves ALL his dirty laundry in a heap over there..I am on laundry strike..if that stuff cant make its way to the laundry basket, then I am not doing it. SOme times its weeks! seriously! When Jackson was a baby, he rolled off the bed, and luckily that time DH had a HUGE pile of clothes over there, so he just hit them softly, and rolled under the bed!...

well ok.its just about 11....time to get out of my jammies ( breaking bad habit #1)

Thats whats going on at my house today..
We have 3 guys here preparing the yard to seed it with grass, They came with one big truck, and tractor and a bobcat. Now add to that my husband who dug a huge hole in the yard so we can build a 3 car garage, he is beetling around in our bobcat. Now add to that...2 double trailer gravel trucks, which are hauling sand in ( to fill the hole of course). Thats what my yard looks like today..thank god the kids and I are off to a wedding...LOL

yup...2 bobcats, 1 tractor, 2 gravel trucks and 4 guys... I'm OUTTA Here!

THE BEES HAVE ARRIVED!

DH brought them home with him last night.... I got them set up and managed to take 5 pics, before the kids got really angry and thats was it. I only used the one with the giant softbox, I figure one light at a time for now!
I cant believe it, Everytime Amanda would show me a photo, I was in awe of the HUGE catchlights and the skintones etc.. I told her every single day that I was inlove with her Bees..
Thank goodness they only took 1 week to get here...amazing..from TN to alberta in a week, the books Im gonna be sending Petra will take longer to get to Ontario than that Im sure...Stupid Canada Post! What fun bees, are...no more metering in camera...so it was all trial and error last night til I got it about right!...next item to purchase will be a light meter...down the road tho...way down the road...once I earn some money from a shoot, and buy a full year membership at the photography forum. LOL

OK I really loved the lines from that wooden bridge...so I went out hunting for some railroad tracks with a gentle curve in them!..Lookie what I found just by my old home! We headed out for a drive, and I figured I would go down to the tracks by where I grew up. We used to ride out horses along these tracks all the time as kids. Obviously not very many trains on them!
Ry had a HOOT!, she was dancing, and singing, flapping her arms like a bird! It was hard to get her to sit still, even for just a second Thank goodness for high Shutterspeeds!

I was so excited when I made them, I thought for sure she would love them..but NO WAY!....I am actually wearing one also while taking this photo...really peed that I in camera cropped of her feet...but alas...live and learn right! I have been patiently waiting ALL morning to get updated...
Here's a quick simple LO for my new CT team. I can't wait to get a neat lil blinkie to add to my stash! Anyways Im really diggin Kristin's stuff... her textures in the paper are wonderful and the quality in her elements is AMAZING. ok..first things first..

#1... Im really proud to announce that I have made KRISTIN CB's CT team! I got 2 of her newest kits

yesterday And I cant wait to get scrappin with them! Im so thrilled... I just love her stuff, Hoping to maybe use one for the next round of Ultimate! Dont you just love her stuff! PLus Im extra proud cuz she's a transplanted Alberta girl! So how fun I get to play with a fellow Canadian's Designs!... I dont think there are that many Canadian Kit designers out there! Did I mention that Kristin ROCKS?! You can get her kits at SBE or at TDC.

#2 I made it thru to round #2 of the Ultimate Scrapper contest! This one is gonna be hard..its an scrap of how we see ourselves thru our own eyes one.. sheesh...tough one. PLus they are cutting 100 more scrappers! Phew really gotta step things up a notch to make it threw this round I think. Today is going to be a thiking day..then I hope to get it all scrapped tonight or tomorrow!

LOL Heather..notice I called her Filly!...LOL...no thats not her name...poor thing still doesnt have one...we really just need a barn name for now..like lucy or ruby or something, anything other than "filly". We turned momma and filly out into my front paddock, all plank fence.HOw wonderful it is to be able to see them all day, running, grazing and sleeping in the sun!

The color in these is a bit off, she isnt as brownish as she looks there..she is more mousey gray, but I havent figured out how to 'adjust' browns in PS LOL...

Our First fRyday!

So I went out today with Rylee, dropped Jackson off with grandpa, and we had a girls day, mommy got her nails done, Rylee got hers painted pink, Then we ate timmy's at the park, watched a few BIG LOUD TRAINS go by, sang some songs, cuddled some. Mommy bawled a bit because I am so proud of my little girl, she is well mannered, considerate and very very FUNNY! Hopped back into the Yukon and headed off to go location hunting for the family photos. The one family requested one spot, so we headed off there...Nice place, with several different setups available!

My first flower Photo! LOL no clue what it is...Just needed to take one since all the girls as SK are all into floral photos right now! See your all right...I guess spring is coming here too! LOL

The barn...I'm hoping to try some photo's of the family up in the loft, and me on the ground, as well as them on the ground and me in the loft...Trying for some different angles here, any other ideas?

the little lake that is surrounding most of this location...Tons of ducks, and even pelicans!

Rylee on the bridge....which is really cool! I should have no problem getting all of them on it, with some neat and funky photos, as lond as I can get the exposure right. It has a neat little ramp on either end, so Im thinking I could also get them to all sit one or two behind each other up the ramp. Any hints on FULL SUN shooting? it was hard today...thank goodness I shot in RAW...it helped me recover several photos! These were all taken at about 3 PM, maybe I need to go back there again a bit later in the evening and see what the shade does... Totally begging for some full sun hints here! and Im such a DORK..I forgot all about the sunny F16 rule... I gotta go check on that some more...I *think* you set f16, then whatever your iso is , you match your ss with...so like this...f16 Iso 400, then your ss would be 1/400.. I *think* Exif data on these...all iso 100 50 mm focal length

I got the lens for just about half price what I can buy it up here...Got if off of amazon.com, then i am getting it shipped to a girlfriend in the US, who will then ship it up to me.. Im thinking it should be here about the same time as the bees...10 business days!! HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what do you think of the new logo? everyone who knows me..knows I am a bright green addict...EVERYONE...and I had this lovely inital made for my by a friend and figured it would work wonderful for a logo!...I still may have a bit of tweaking on the colors...the green maybe not so Brilliant..that kinda thing...but Im really diggin it!...now to get the rest of my blog all fancied up again!

Been busy with Spring, the new filly, ( yes still nameless) but here a few LO's I rattled off this weekend..Im so pumped about the Ultimate digi scrapper contest..the first chat is tonight, we get the details and our first challenge! No clue how they are gonna get 300 ladies all in the same room, really hoping they have TONS of bandwidth!

ok this LO...I took the photo quite a while back and its been sitting in my TO SCRAP folder... It took me about 2 hours to do, with all the journalling strips! (credits to Lauren Grier's Maia kit,available at ES, font is FG Tina, and I used AC's plastic action on the Title word, anc AC wild tear)

Next LO is one I have been fighting with for a while... My friends at W2W took some photo's of their kids eating oreo's so after seeing what their dear children did I HAD to do the same. This LO took FORVER... ensuring all the boxes were the same size, and making sure they were spaced evenly!... I think it turned out pretty good in the end! ( credits to Amanda Rockwell's Cars and Trucks kit, available at ES, and DF, font is Rockit and FG albin)

This LO..I had tons of fun doing! This is one of our FAVORITE coats of Rylee's! I am so sad that she has outgrown it (credits to Faith True's Bright Spring Kit, available at ES, DDE spring doodle collection, and fonts...SF happiness, shortcut, tuesday, turkey sandwich, tanergine, splended ornament, bombarier, and vinyl tile) phew...

This LO is just did this morning...(the credits go to Susan Godfrey's Camo Baby kit, available at ES). This kit has been sitting in my do to list for a while..I just couldnt figure out what photo's to make it work..then I saw this one, that I snapped last week when we took the kids down to the river for a picnic. I liked this photo in color and then thought I should try it in a brown toned black and white...well this is the result..this one is one of my fav's! The quote came from the quote garden...and as soon as I saw it I knew it was perfect..its so so so true! Im so proud of my DH..b/c he is a father, and more importantly a great daddy!

Finally we are having some nice weather...

dont blink tho...forecasting SNOW for Sunday night...Welcome to a blogger in Alberta! they joke about not blinking because Alberta weather changes so fast!

Cynnder and filly are doing super well! Poor lil thing is still nameless...nothing is just popping out at me as the "perfect name" so hence she is still called 'filly'.

Her hind legs have really strengthened up a ton in 1 day, looking at these pics I can't belive how much she was 'down' on her back legs...today she is standing up nice and upright, so it shows that she is getting stronger each day!

Been really busy scrappin, the ES team has really laid on the kits Im 10 Lo's behind! ACK...

And I entered the Ultimate Digi-Scrapper 2006 Challenge ! its starts May 1st Im so excited...tons of prizes, and tons of entrants, like over 350 I think was the final count..Basically its like survior, and they have a SWEET panel of judges, who will go through all the LO's and pick the ones that advance from round to round...so thats gonna keep me busy too, plus the 2 family photoshoots, and once my income tax comes back, ordering the alien bees...im gonna be a busy lady the next while...

About 6 Am this morning...FINALLY,
pretty sure its a black filly!!!!

gonna go wake up rylee and take her outside!

OK so I put her in the barn at midnight, like our usual routine, Jackson woke up around 3 AM, so after I fed him his bottle, I popped outside to check. Normal..totally normal, I could see the baby moving and kicking some, but Cynnder was not at all upset, or bothered by it.

I went in at 7 Am to let her out...and there was the baby! I missed it by only 30 - 60 minutes, She hadnt delivered the placenta yet, so i saw that finish off, then headed in to wake up Rylee..Well she leapt out of bed, and got dressed in like 3 minutes ( really fast for a 2 1/2 year old)

Needless to say...Its a she...im positive on that, pretty sure on the color...so stayed I will post a poll for the names in the next day or two.

She has eaten, and pooped...so thats all fine...

I talked to my trainer and she wanted me to measure her...she is 38 inches at the wither...I think thats a good size! She's super sweet, and is drawn to Rylee and jackson...We have been out there about 50 times already this afternoon!...cant wait to get her outside and take some more photos! YIPPE!!!!!!!1

ok..gestation for a horse is usually 11 months 11 days..my poor horse is now sitting at 11 months 23 days.. Called the vet, and they said to call back once she reaches the 1 year mark...so thats MOnday..next monday....Im not sure I can handle this stress much longer! SHEESH!

OK I did these all by hand ( with the help of Kelby) LOL. It was fun, we were all just playing on the bed in my room when DH came home..he plunked himself on the bed, and the kids just went nuts!

Climbing all over him, so I ran and got my camera..and VIOLA! I have noticed the light in my room is pretty nice, but i have never used it before because I have two big windows on either side of the bed, if you look closely you will be able to see both catchlights from both windows :(

What do you think of these? Too much contrast? somedays I think they look a bit on the dark side, other days I like them. I had a hard time with DH's skin tones and Rylee's, his is darker than my fair skinned princess, and if I got his looking good then she was totally blown... any suggestions on that?

I really love this kit..its amazing...wonderful colors..I will have to use it again, but I think Im gonna have to go take some more pics just for it! I uploaded this LO just about everywhere I could, just to promote the kit, and the great chance to help the people that were affected by Larry. go to clikchicdesigns.com to find this kit!

I did this one to fill another of my CT duties from ES, I have had Amanda's Lauren kit for a few months, and I always love going back to her stuff, Its really easy to make more that one LO with her kits! This kit is available at DF, and ES.

Joined ANOTHER scrap site today...LOL I counted last night, and If I uploaded to every site, I think it would be like 13 or 14 of them! can you say FREAK?
Anyways im really liking this new one, its called DoItDigi pop in and check it out!

Hoping the weather is nice today, really want to get the kids back outside to play some. Maybe take some more photos! Never can get enough of that!
