Pure

Here is a LO I did this afternoon while my munchkins were sleeping...Im typing quietly because they are still asleep!...Maybe I can sneak one more in today? LOL This is only a few of the tidbits that came with the Ribbit Kisses Freebie from Elemental Scraps. (The Scavenger hunt freebie). I spent the other day with my DD in her bedroom, we played dress up, read a KAZLLION books, and of course JUMPED on the bed!. Days like that sure make me PROUD and very HONORED to be a SAHM.
Exif Data on the Images ss 1/80, f 2.2, ISO 200 focal lenght 50 mm. Natural Alberta lighting!

Im off to read Gina Miller's blog after this..to Read up on how she uses drop shadows...Sometimes I really hate them, but I hate them worse without any KWIM? I will be sure to tell you what I find out!

For those of you still hunting for more Ribbit Kisses

The entire kit will be available as a freebie on Elemental Scraps right now!

Its SNOWING AGAIN! Its supposed to be SPRING!

Man I am so ready for spring...And what does it do today? freakin snows more.. SSHEESH!
DH brought home our "new to us" motorhome I'm excited but not near as excited as Rylee is!.. She's a hoot!...

I have been busy the past few days, lots of scrappin stuff. No actual scrapping, but just the stuff!
Just wondering what you all thought of the little blog scavenger hunt? I thought it was a marvelous and fun idea! I guess we can measure our success by the fact that they had to upgrade the bandwidth on the site! Too many freebie hunters for the poor lil board! AH...But what a good lesson to learn!

I got to help host my very first crop over at ScraspsyDaisy on the 22nd! It was a lot of fun, Lori was giving away a really Sweet little kit for the Scrapsy Daisy's first birthday! I was a bit nervous about being on the other end of a crop! But it all went very well I think, there was consistently about 35-40 people there, with lots just grabbing the zip and the pw and then leaving! I haven't had a chance to talk to her to see how the evening crop went, but I'm sure it went just as well if not better!

Neiko is working out super good so far, I took him into my 'studio' the other day and got some pretty neat photos of him!. Man..dogs are way way easier than 2 year olds!

Still no foal! LOL 10 days and counting til her EDD. Stuck a little PG ticker over on my sidebar! She is starting to bag up, so that's a good sign, I can't wait! What if this baby is a black boy? LOL... It will be stallion material if it is!. My mare (Cynnder) is a decent reining horse. We won 2005 Canadian National Reserve Champion Amateur Reiner, 2005 Region 17 Champion Amateur Reiner, 2005 Region 17 Reserve Champion Open Reiner. Needless to say it was a crazy busy, but successful year last year! I couldn't have done any of it without my pit krew. I brought Rylee and Jackson to all my shows, and also had to bring my dad as a babysitter! Poor man...Stuck with a 2 year old horse crazy girl, and a 6 month baby boy! The stallion that I bred her to stopped showing when he was 4, so he doesn't have a ton of titles, but he did compete at Regionals and at Scottsdale, so we are very excited! Cant show you any pics..cuz that would be violating photographers copyrights! I will try to dig thru my photos to see if I have any decent ones!

boy I'm kinda muttering about nothing today! hmmn whatelse did I want to day.................................. RIGHT!...

ok..SO I was cleaning the house the other night, and I happened to be mopping the kitchen floor.. My dd Rylee comes in and says to me " Good job Mommy... Your in the kitchen right where Mommy belongs!" ROLFMAO!.....yup Dh got a smack for that one!...It was so funny! I often wonder what else he is teaching her!

And I have been on the quest to make the PERFECT loaf of bread (yeah little bit of a dumb goal in life)...and yesterday I did it!.. Finally... After tweaking, then scraping the bread machine clean several times, I think I finally have altered my recipe just right!...It stays moist, and the crust doesn't get really hard either! If your interested let me know I will put up the recipe!

Just a quickie for today

DH is back home again, and we should be off this afternoon and the evening to go pick up out new motorhome! Im so excited..not looking forward to stocking it all, but I can't wait for spring!

Speaking if Spring... this is a LO I did with Amanda Rockwell's 'Spring' Kit. Its availabe right now at Elemental Scraps. It was done for the Scraplift Challenge at Scrapmommies. The Lift was from a super paper LO! I guess I will just add this one to my ABC book that I'm slowly working on. I should go thru and see what letters I still need..( I'm guessing about 20! LOL)
LOL and its funny..cuz Jackson at age 13 months..still only has 2 teefies!

Oh and here is one of my new fav pics of Rylee.. I snapped it quick while we were playing on her bed yesterday, I love the DOF, the colors and just the feel of it...AH...to find my own creatvie photographic style... LOL I think that is the hardest part about trying to be a photographer...making sure your not just copying someone else's ideas. KWIM. Anyways..like i have said before I really like the more candid every day shots...and this is one i like!

And here's fun lil word cloud that I ran into today, it scans your blog and pick out the more prevailent words.
I think I should try this once a month...and just see how or if it Changes!..LOL..look Amanda even got her name in BIG letters! LOL

Day two of the same plane! LOL

OK some more from this AM..Totally mommy shots, cuz there is food on their faces etc...but slowly I think its sinking in... I bumped my ISO a bit on these to 400, ss was 1/100 - 1/160, and my fstop was pretty open 1.8 and 2.0.

Funny how pink my kids look on the web, they look really good in PS, the skin tones are way better.. GOOD thing they print off like you see them in PS!

Back...with some pics

Well I guess I should say just one...but I really worked hard to concentrate on having things on the same plane. I have read and re-read that post on ILP. I get so frustrated some days. just when I think I understand something, my kids wont sit still long enough for me to take any pics..so its slow going...I think I need to get my neice and her friend to come over again. PLus I have a cousin in law who just announced that they are expecting...Im sad that they live in Calgary (90 minutes away), but I'm hoping to BEG her to let me take some photos, both before and after baby arrives in late august.

anyways.. here it is...one in black and white and the original in color. Camera settings for these ones were shutter speed 1/80, ISO 200 , fstop 2.5, focal length 50 mm. Used my lantern again for them...Im getting the placement of that better...still not perfect! I tell you when I do get it right, Im gonna take pics of it...and maybe even put a big tape mark on the floor! So I dont have to fiddle so much each time. I am super glad that some things are starting to come quicker to me.. FINALLY.. not near as much that needs too, but atleast some of it!

COOL!

I got a comment the other day from 'Shizzknits' about the b/w conversions "Are you using converstions straight up or are you modifying them after you convert? Bumping curves and levels will often pop a 'flat' BW conversion." and in answer to that...well yes and no.. I have been playing with the brightness and contrast, but not anything with levels or curves... THANK you I will be sure to play with that today! Once again, this is why I love the web, where else in the world can you get so much help?

AND... I forgot to tell you about this. A fellow ROCKIN' scrapper named Laura has a SWEET and TREAT filled blog. YOU have to go check out her fonts! I just snagged four new ones today! SHE ROCKS! Be sure to stop by and say congrats to her, she was just crowned the Mommy of the Month at Scrapmommies! Thanx again Laura! smootches back to you!
